The editorial team of the Muzi Chinese Matrix Project.
The GreenCaddy team is a group of overseas Chinese volunteers around the world, technologists and cultural researchers, who compile and maintain Muzi Chinese Matrix.
Mission
To build a picture and a matrix of Chinese civilization, for both mind and heart, for overseas Chinese communities and everyone interested in Chinese culture.
Name
青驺 (qīng zōu) is the Chinese name of GreenCaddy. 青 corresponds to green; 驺 was an official who kept the horses and drove ahead, corresponding to caddy.
Meaning
The Shuowen defines 驺 as a stable driver; the Book of Rites mentions the seven grooms harnessing the carriages.
Character
驺 combines 马 (horse) and 刍 (fresh grass), which echoes the 青 in the name.
