Xiang Shengsi was a Yixing stoneware potter of roughly the late Ming and early Qing; one study gives his surname as Jiang. He made naturalistic pieces and is best known for a peach-shaped cup in the Nanjing Museum, signed Shengsi with a seal reading 'made by Shengsi', which came from the Yixing collector Chu Nanqiang. The Palace Museum has a plum-blossom cup with a poem bearing his mark, but the potter Gu Jingzhou judged plum-blossom cups with the Shengsi mark to be later imitations, so its attribution remains open.
