The Garden Stroll
The first half of scene ten of the original: a spring walk in the garden wakes Du Liniang's youthful longing
Mural guide
By a Taihu rock and curved railing a young lady role in a pale-green robe stands half turned, water sleeves hanging low, a musician on a stone stool nearby plays the bamboo flute, and in the foreground a swallow perches on a willow branch.
The first half of scene ten of the original. Du Liniang and her maid Chunxiang stroll through the garden in spring, stirring her longing; the singing uses tunes such as Bubu jiao, Zui fu gui and Zaoluo pao.
