Guan Yu crosses the river in a small boat to the feast, opening with the tune Xinshui ling, and the song recalls Zhou Yu, Huang Gai and the battle of Red Cliffs from the river scene. Though this is the last act, it is still in no hurry to show the clash between the two sides directly.
