With Liu Tong he wrote the Dijing jingwu lue in eight juan: Yu gathered the material and Liu turned it into prose, with Zhou Sun as editor. The book describes the gardens, temples, sights and seasonal customs of Beijing, the Western Hills and the capital region. He died in 1636.
