Shen Manyuan, a Liang-dynasty woman poet, came from Wukang in Wuxing (modern Deqing, Huzhou) and was a granddaughter of Shen Yue. She married Fan Jing and is therefore often listed in the Yutai Xinyong as the wife of Fan Jing. Her poems dwell on objects and feelings of the women's quarters, among them poems on the swaying hairpin flower, the five-colour bamboo brazier and the lamp. The anthology preserves nine of her poems; her three-fascicle collection is lost.
