Liao Shimei
Song dynasty lyricist of unknown life whose Zhuying Yaohong on the Floating Cloud Tower at Anlu is in Three Hundred Song Lyrics; Huifeng Cihua praised its turning lines as inspired.
In a study at night, a desk holds a brush pot, a porcelain vase with a plum branch, a lit red lantern, a folded fan and an unrolled blank scroll, with no one seated there, while through a round window the moon rises over a lake with a sailboat.

Liao Shimei was a Song dynasty lyricist about whom no biographical facts survive. The supplement to Zeng Zao's anthology Yuefu Yaci (preface 1146) includes his Zhuying Yaohong, titled there for the Lingyun Tower at Anlu, which other texts call the Floating Cloud Tower. Huang Sheng's Huaan anthology includes his Haoshi Jin on an evening scene, and Zhu Yizun's Cizong includes two of his lyrics. Three Hundred Song Lyrics chose his Zhuying Yaohong, and the critical work Huifeng Cihua called its turning lines inspired. His dates are unknown.
