At dusk on a hilltop, a large tent stands open with a table holding a map marked with small stones inside, a saddled horse tethered outside, and fire stands burning; campfires dot the river plain below, and one tiny sentry stands on the slope.

Jin Bi was a general of Wei. When Qin besieged the Zhao capital Handan, King Anxi of Wei sent him with 100,000 troops to help Zhao, then, under Qin threats, ordered him to halt at Ye and wait on events. Lord Xinling, following Hou Ying's plan, had Lady Ru steal the tally and came to relieve Jin Bi with a forged royal order. Jin Bi matched the tally but doubted it and hesitated, whereupon Zhu Hai killed him with an iron mallet, and Xinling led the army against Qin. He is the general displaced in 'Lord Xinling Steals the Tally to Save Zhao'.
