Zhu Xu
Eastern Jin general captured by Former Qin at Xiangyang who, at the Fei River, shouted "The Qin army is beaten!" behind its lines and set off the rout.
At dusk on a hilltop, a large tent stands open with a table holding a map marked with small stones inside, a saddled horse tethered outside, and fire stands burning; campfires dot the river plain below, and one tiny sentry stands on the slope.

Zhu Xu, courtesy name Cilun, of Pingshi in Yiyang, was an Eastern Jin general. As Inspector of Liang Province he held Xiangyang until 379, when a traitor opened the city after a year's siege and he was captured; Fu Jian, admiring his loyalty, made him a minister of finance. Sent before the Fei River battle to urge Xie Shi to surrender, he instead revealed Qin weaknesses. When the Qin line withdrew, he shouted from the rear that the Qin army was beaten, the troops broke, and he escaped back to Jin. He later served as Inspector of Yu Province and died in 393.
