Huang Gongshao
Lyricist of the Song–Yuan transition from Shaowu, jinshi of 1265 who refused office under the Yuan; his Qingyu'an on the spring festival is well known, and his Gujin Yunhui is lost.
In a study at night, a desk holds a brush pot, a porcelain vase with a plum branch, a lit red lantern, a folded fan and an unrolled blank scroll, with no one seated there, while through a round window the moon rises over a lake with a sailboat.

Huang Gongshao, courtesy name Zhiweng, was from Shaowu (today's Fujian) and passed the jinshi in the first Xianchun year, 1265. After the fall of Song he declined office under the Yuan and lived in seclusion. He named his house Zaixuan, from a saying of Hu Anguo, and his collection takes its name. His lyrics on festivals and seasonal scenes are fresh in language and close to folk song, thirty being collected in the Quan Song Ci. His Gujin Yunhui is lost; Xiong Zhong's Gujin Yunhui Juyao survives as its abridgement.
