Han Zhuo is a figure of Xia-period legend. The Zuo Zhuan, under the fourth year of Duke Xiang, says he was a kinsman of Boming, ruler of Han, who cast him out for slander. Yi of Youqiong took him in and made him chief minister. Flattering the court and bribing outsiders, he had Yi's household men kill Yi, took over Yi's household and fathered two sons, Jiao and Yi. Later Mi, a former Xia minister, destroyed Han Zhuo and set up Shaokang, and Shaokang and his son Zhu destroyed the two sons, restoring the Xia. The Tianwen in the Chuci adds that Yi's wife joined the plot.
