Royal Kin
Princes, princesses and sons of ruling houses who were kin of the throne
11people
A mansion gate with a double blue-tiled roof stands on stone steps flanked by two stone lions, with a garden walkway, a lily pond and rockery at the left and lanterns under the eaves; at the right one person stands beside a saddled horse with a rider.
Royal kin are members of a ruling family by blood, such as princes, princesses, sons of feudal rulers and other relatives. Their status came from descent and enfeoffment; some took part in factional struggles, and some were known for literary talent or military service. They are neither the ruler nor the ruler's spouse, and unlike court figures their status rests on blood rather than palace service.
