Duke Wu of Wei (Ji He)
Venerable ruler of the State of Wei (853 BCE–758 BCE) during the Western Zhou and early Spring and Autumn era, composed the poem 'Yi' for self-admonition.
In a side chamber of a palace, a yellow ceremonial robe embroidered with a dragon hangs on a wooden stand, its hem worked with waves and rocks, before a carved folding screen, while a black lacquer chest sits on a low table by a lattice window and no person is in view.
Also known as Ji He · Lord Wu of Wei
Duke Wu of Wei (853 BCE–758 BCE, named Ji He) reigned for 55 years over the State of Wei.
