In an archive hall, tall wooden shelves hold scrolls and bound books with small tags, and one person climbs a ladder with their back turned; a long table in front holds an unrolled river map, a bronze lamp and a copper jug, with a city wall seen through the window.
Also known as Zi Hefu · Zhu Bing
Zhu Mu, courtesy name Hefu, originally named Bing, came from a She county family settled in Chong'an and studied in youth under Zhu Xi. He never held office, devoting himself to scholarship and compiling the 70-chapter Fangyu Shenglan, a gazetteer of Southern Song prefectures with their history, landscapes and literature, as well as the encyclopedia Gujin Shiwen Leiju. The legend of Li Bai and the iron rod ground into a needle is recorded in the Fangyu Shenglan.
