Xie Fangde, courtesy name Junzhi, called Dieshan, was a late Southern Song scholar from Yiyang. A jinshi of 1256, he raised local forces against the Yuan in 1275 as a Jiangxi commissioner. After the fall of the Song he refused repeated Yuan summons, was taken to Dadu in 1289 and starved himself to death. He annotated the examination anthology Wenzhang Guifan, left the Dieshan Ji, and made an edition of the Qianjia Shi that circulated beside Liu Kezhuang's original.
