Wu Zimu
A Southern Song writer from Qiantang who finished the twenty-volume Mengliang Lu, a record of the city of Lin'an, in 1274.
In a study at night, a desk holds a brush pot, a porcelain vase with a plum branch, a lit red lantern, a folded fan and an unrolled blank scroll, with no one seated there, while through a round window the moon rises over a lake with a sailboat.

The birth and death years of Wu Zimu are not known, and no courtesy name is recorded. He signed the preface of his book as a man of Qiantang (now Hangzhou) and is thought to have lived around the reign of Emperor Duzong of Song. His official career is unclear. In 1274, the tenth year of the Xianchun era, he finished the twenty-volume Mengliang Lu. Following the plan of the Dongjing Menghua Lu, the book describes Lin'an in the Southern Song, including its altars and temples, palaces, workshops and performing arts.
