In 204, Cao Cao captured Ye. After the ancient capital represented today by the Ye City Site changed hands, Lady Zhen—later commonly called Zhen Mi—was taken as consort by Cao Pi; the Records of the Three Kingdoms also records that she bore Cao Rui.
Also known as Empress Wenzhao · Zhen Ji
Lady Zhen, later commonly called Zhen Mi, was Cao Pi's consort and the mother of Cao Rui. Cao Pi took her at Ye in 204; she died in 221 and was posthumously honored as Empress Wenzhao after Cao Rui's accession. Her identification as the model for Cao Zhi's Luo Goddess is a later literary tradition rather than a settled claim of the official histories.
