Zhang Huaimin
Northern Song official exiled to Huangzhou who strolled with Su Shi at Chengtian Temple and built the pavilion Su Zhe commemorated.
In the courtyard of a district government hall, a line of petitioners waits before a raised bench with a long table and document boxes; a blue umbrella stands beside it, a large drum stands at the gate where a few people wait, and a lake with sailboats lies beyond.

Zhang Huaimin is usually identified with Zhang Mengde of Qinghe, whose courtesy name was Huaimin. Demoted to Huangzhou (Qi'an) in 1083, he lodged at Chengtian Temple. Su Shi's 'A Night Stroll at Chengtian Temple' records how on the twelfth night of the tenth month that year he sought out Huaimin and the two walked in the moonlit courtyard. Su Zhe's 'Record of the Pavilion of Supreme Delight' says that Zhang Mengde, living in exile at Qi'an, built a pavilion southwest of his house which Su Shi named 'Kuaizai', and praises him for not letting exile trouble him. Little else about his life is recorded.
