Le Jin, courtesy name Wenqian, came from Wei county in Yangping; a small man, he followed Cao Cao on the strength of his nerve and started as a clerk in the headquarters tent. He raised over a thousand men at home and was first onto the walls against Lu Bu at Puyang, Zhang Chao at Yongqiu and Qiao Rui at Ku, which earned him a district marquisate. At Guandu he killed Yuan Shao's general Chunyu Qiong, and in Hebei he led assaults on Yuan Tan and Yuan Shang. In 206 Cao Cao praised him, Yu Jin and Zhang Liao in a memorial to the throne, and he was made General Who Breaks the Charge; posted at Yangdi, he fought Guan Yu in Jing province and later helped hold Hefei with Zhang Liao and Li Dian. He became General of the Right and died in 218 with the posthumous name Wei. Chen Shou put him in one chapter with Zhang Liao, Yu Jin, Zhang He and Xu Huang.
