On WritingSu ShiMy writing is like a spring gushing ten thousand measures of water, surging forth everywhere without choosing its ground. On level ground it flows surging and smooth, traversing a thousand li in a single day with ease. When winding against mountain boulders, it shapes itself to whatever it meets. All that can be known is: it flows whenever it ought to flow, and stops where it cannot but stop—and that is all.
