Juyongguan Pass
A pass in the Guangou gorge whose layered green hills, 'Juyong Dieci', count among the Eight Views of Yanjing; the walled pass now known as Juyongguan was founded in the Ming at Changpo, south of the older upper pass.
Juyongguan's broad cream-gray Cloud Platform has sloping sides, a stone balustrade and a faceted pointed passage framed by relief carvings; two tiny travelers stand on the stone paving before it, while the Great Wall and watchtowers trace the green ridges on both sides.
