Mural guide
Before the stone stairs and white balustrades of a palace, a table holds a two-handled bronze censer trailing incense and a porcelain cup painted with roosters, with a phoenix crown hung with pearl strands behind and a horseshoe-back armchair beside, while many-masted ships sail on the distant sea. Censer, crown and the fleet evoke the splendour of the Ming court and its great voyages.
