In a storeroom lit through lattice windows, wooden shelves hold rows of document cases and cord-tied bundles, the labels on the cases blurred, while iron-clasped wooden chests stand stacked on the floor, topped with thick cord-bound stacks of papers, and the shadow of a tree fades across the wall.
