On a terrace beneath the eaves, three bronze vessels stand in tiers with water running down from one to the next, beside a sundial and a Western-style table clock with exposed gears, against distant misty hills. Dripping water, the sun's shadow and turning gears evoke the changing ingenuity of timekeeping.
