Xinxing

Xinxing lies in the Hami region and comprises the farm towns of Erdaohu, Luoyi and Huangtian together with a core urban area. Hami sits at the southern foot of the eastern Tianshan, where gravel plains alternate with oases in a dry, sunny climate. Meltwater from the Tianshan and the region's karez channels water its oasis farmland. The city's towns are scattered among the oases of the Hami basin, linked by roads. More specific local history and culture for this area still needs to be researched.
