Dark Tea
Piled while damp
Introduction
Dark tea, piled while damp; its loose tea and compressed forms are classed separately.
Dark tea is tea made from leaf that is fixed, rolled, piled while damp and dried; compared with green tea it has the extra piling step. Compressed tea is tea that has been blended, steamed, pressed into shape and dried. Loose dark tea takes this class as its main class; dark tea pressed into bricks, cakes and bowl shapes belongs to compressed tea under Reprocessed Tea, with dark tea as a secondary class.
